Navigating Psychological Injuries: Assessment &Treatment Planning
We assess Psychological Injuries, such as trauma, depression, anxiety, phobias, pain, and adjustment issues, caused by workplace or automobile accidents.
These are comprehensive diagnostic assessments which provide a Treatment Plan and will include provision of workplace / school recommendations (e.g., short or long term disability or work and school accommodations, etc), when applicable.
We are experienced with WSIB and Auto Insurer application procedures and can contact them directly on your behalf (with informed consent) to obtain funding pre-approvals for services, if applicable.

Assessment Process
Motor Vehicle Accidents
The Psychological Assessment will involve:
-
An initial in-person or virtual Prescreening Intake Interview with the injured client, preparation of a prescreening synopsis, and completion of OCF 18 Applications for Psychological Assessment and Treatment.
-
Review of the OCF 18 application proposed goods and services with the client and submission of the applications to the Auto Insurer with clients approval.
-
If the proposed services are pre-approved for funding by the Auto Insurer, Clinical Diagnostic Interviews will be conducted with the client (separate parent and child interviews, if under 18).
-
The client or the client's parents will be asked to complete a series of Intake Forms and Clinical Measures.
-
All relevant provided medical documents or academic records (where applicable), will be reviewed.
-
All results and diagnoses (if any) will be shared with the client at a Feedback Session.
-
A Comprehensive Clinical Report will be prepared.
-
If funding for treatment is pre-approved by the Auto Insurer, the client will begin their treatment sessions. If funding is not approved, clients can choose to pay for services privately.
WSIB Assessments:
-
Initial Intake with the injured client.
-
Application for funding for a formal WSIB Assessment.
-
Clinical Diagnostic Interview with client.
-
Completion of Intake and Clinical Questionnaires.
-
A Feedback Session.
-
Preparation and submission of WSIB Assessment Report
-
Reports will include any diagnoses, an opinion regrading the disability status, recommendations for work/school support (if applicable), and recommendations for Treatment, if indicated.
-
Once WSIB approves a treatment plan, clients will be booked for their treatment sessions. If treatment is not approved, clients can choose to pay for services privately.
Service Fees
Clients are expected to pay for the initial intake consultation session ($200), which may be claimed under their extended health benefits (if applicable) for reimbursement. This fee can be waived under special circumstances (Contact our office for more information).
Subsequent services will only be provided if funding is pre-approved by the Auto Insurer or WSIB, or if the client chooses to proceed and pay for services privately.
